JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) ensured that all automatic toll gates (GTO) damaged by large-scale demonstrations last week will return to normal operations on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

"On 10 (September) all GTOs are functioning. So, it's back to normal," said Jasa Marga President Director Rivan Achmad Purwantono while inspecting the Pejompongan GT in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 2.

Rivan explained that seven toll gates (GT) were affected by demonstrations in Jakarta. The seven are GT Slipi 1; GT Slipi 2; GT Pejompongan; GT Senayan; GT Semanggi 1; GT Semanggi 2; and GT Kuningan 1.

From a number of these locations, GT Pejompongan was recorded to have suffered the most severe damage.

The reason is, the GT was burned by the masses up to two times, namely on Friday and Saturday night last week.

Jasa Marga also recorded a total loss of around Rp. 80 billion due to damage to facilities. Until now, recovery efforts have been carried out by cleaning up the debris of the burning marks.

"On Wednesday, September 10, what is meant to operate is that it can be used by the community, although the physical appearance has not returned to its original state," he said.

In fact, said Rivan, several toll gates can be used since Monday, September 7 with the help of a mobile reader.

According to Rivan, physical repairs take longer, but will not interfere with the safety of road users.

"Physical improvement still takes time. The most important thing regarding the current physical condition is not to disturb the safety of road users," he said.
