JAKARTA - The government will place two to three Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in each Red and White Village Cooperative to support cooperative operations.

Deputy for Coordination of Commerce and Food Distribution at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Tatang Yuliono, explained that this support aims to ease the operational burden of cooperatives, especially regarding the cost of human resources (HR).

"The Kemenpan RB has conveyed its commitment to support the distribution of two to three PPPKs, so cooperatives do not need to pay their human resources because they have been prepared by the state, cooperatives do not need to pay," Tatang said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 21.

Previously, the government held a coordination meeting at the level of ministries and institutions related to the technical consolidation of the National Task Force for the Acceleration of the Establishment of the Red and White Kopdes.

The coordination meeting was led by the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs who is also the Head of the Task Force for the Acceleration of the Establishment of the Red and White Kopdes, Zulkifli Hasan.

The government targets 15,000 cooperatives to operate this month.

Zulkifli ensured the readiness across ministries and institutions as well as local governments to pursue this target.

Sementara itu, Menteri Koperasi Budi Arie Setiadi menjelaskan sebagai upaya penguatan kelembagaan koperasi, Kemenkop telah melakukan berbagai program terkait peningkatan kapasitas SDM dan digitalisasi koperasi dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak seperti Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan, Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital (Komdigi), serta pihak swasta hingga asosiasi.

“Ke depan akan dilaksanakan program lanjutan berupa sertifikasi pengurus koperasi. Dengan langkah ini, kita ingin memastikan seluruh pengurus Koperasi Desa memiliki kompetensi yang memadai sehingga koperasi dapat dikelola secara profesional dan berdaya saing,” kata Budi Arie.
