Different Data On Petroleum Production With KESDM, SKK Migas Opens Voice

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) has opened its voice regarding differences in crude oil production data with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) during the first semester of 2025.

Just so you know, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources reported that the performance of petroleum production in June reached 608.1 MBOPD or 100.5 percent of the set target of 605 MBOPD.

Meanwhile, the average production in the first semester reached 602.4 MBOPD or 99.5 percent of the target.

On the other hand, SKK Migas reported oil production from January-June 2025 of 579.3 BOPD or around 95.8 percent of the target

Head of the SKK Migas Program and Communication Division, Hudi D Suryodipuro, said that there was actually no difference in the data between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and SKK Migas regarding oil production. According to him, the data presented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources during the press conference on the performance of Semester I is data sourced from SKK Migas.

"Actually, there is no difference in data between KESDM and SKK Migas related to oil production, because data at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources comes from SKK," Hudi told the media crew in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 13.

Menurut Hudi, data yang dipaparkan Menteri ESDM Bahlil Lahadalia sudah mencakup minyak bumi, kondensat dan gas alam cair atau LNG, sementara data SKK Migas tidak mencantumkan LNG, hanya minyak dan kondensat.

"Saat konferensi pers kinerja tengah tahun hulu migas 2025 yang diselenggarakan oleh SKK Migas pada bulan Juli pada produksi minyak belum memasukkan NGL," tandas dia.

According to Hudi, the data presented by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia already includes oil, condensates and liquefied natural gas or LNG, while the SKK Migas data does not include LNG, only oil and condensate.

"During a press conference on mid-year performance upstream of oil and gas 2025 organized by SKK Migas in July on oil production has not included NGL," he said.
