JAKARTA - Inpex Masela LTD, the operator of Blok Masela, appointed PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) to work on an initial engineering design project or Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) at the Eternal Onshore LNG project in Blok Masela.
This appointment is reinforced by a Letter of Determination of Winners or Letter of Award (LOA) for the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) work contract on the "Indonesia INPEX Abadi Onshore LNG Project" project.
Later ADHI will work on this project with KBR and Samsung E&A through a joint operation scheme.
Located in Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku Province, this project will process natural gas from Field Abadi to produce around 9.5 million tons of LNG per year and 35.000 barrels of condensate per day.
This project has been designated as the Indonesian National Strategic Project as an LNG project with Carbon Capture and Carbon Storage Facility facilities that capture carbon emissions produced in the process and store them in the offshore mine area.
With this technology, the project will produce a stable low-carbon energy supply, contribute to national energy security while at the same time supporting Indonesia's commitment to reducing global emissions.
