JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK noted that as many as 250,000 vehicles had passed per day on all toll roads managed by the company until the first semester of 2025. This figure increased by 7.6 percent compared to the same period last year.

Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim, explained that the highest daily traffic (LHR) was recorded in April 2025 - reaching more than 266,000 vehicles per day - driven by a surge in vehicle flow during the homecoming period and the return of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.

In segmentation, Adjib conveyed that the highest traffic managed toll road on the island of Java, namely the Jakarta Outer Ring Road Section S (JORR-S) toll road, which is crossed by more than 145,000 vehicles per day.

The highest traffic toll road in the corridor of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) is the Pekanbaru 'Dumai (Permai) Toll Road which is crossed by more than 15,000 vehicles per day.

The JORR-S toll road noted that the highest LHR was driven by its function as the main mobility lane in the metropolitan area of Jakarta which connects various traffic nodes between regions.

Meanwhile, the Permai Toll Road recorded the highest LHR thanks to its strategic role as the main pathway for community mobility and logistics, particularly in connecting Pekanbaru City with industrial areas and access to Roro Dumai Port, which is an important node for regional trade connectivity.

According to Adjib, increasing traffic is an indicator of the confidence of road users in the quality of infrastructure managed by the company.

"LHR growth in the first semester of 2025 reflects the increasing public confidence in toll road services managed by Hutama Karya," said Adjib in a written statement, Saturday, August 9, 2025.

He assessed that the increase was also in line with the company's ongoing efforts to maintain operational quality and provide a safe and comfortable travel experience for road users.

In an effort to strengthen services, continued Adjib, his party has also implemented an integrated traffic system using the Intelligence Traffic System (ITS) directly connected to the control center or control room monitored for 24 hours by officers, both in toll and central branches.

The technology allows real-time data-based traffic management, which supports quick and accurate decision-making, including in emergency situations and traffic engineering needs.

In addition, Hutama Karya also provides HK Toll Apps, namely digital applications that provide direct access to toll road users to monitor the latest traffic conditions through CCTV cameras, obtain tariff information, and take advantage of customer journey features and customer services.

The initiative is in line with the company's digital transformation direction to create more adaptive services.

"We are committed to continuing to provide superior, technology-based, and toll road services oriented towards toll road users."

"We are not only building connectivity, but also integrating public trust," he said.
