Chronology Of Dolphin Cruise 2's Opposite Fast Boat At Sanur Harbor

The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Sea Transportation has opened its voice regarding the incident of a fast boat accident or Fastboat Dolphin Cruise 2 at the entrance to the Sanur Port.

The accident occurred on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 15:15 WITA, according to a report from the Head of the Benoa Class II Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Office.

Director General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Muhammad Masyhud said the Ministry of Transportation was concerned and deeply sorry for the sinking of the Bali Dolphin Cruise 2 fast boat in the entrance channel of Sanur Port, Bali.

Based on the chronology of the incident, continued Masyhud, the ship departed from Nusa Penida Port at around 14.30 WITA to Sanur Port.

"Based on the reports received, as long as sea waves are safe and the wind is blowing not too fast," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, August 6.

Masyhud said that when the ship was about to enter the entrance flow of Sanur Port at 15.10 WITA and had passed the red and green flare buoy, the captain in the process of moving left and left cikar would enter the pier suddenly the waves hit the left hull of the ship which resulted in the ship capsized immediately.

The condition of the Dolphin Cruise 2 fast boat ran aground in a reversed position. Furthermore, the Sanur Port was temporarily closed by the local Harbormaster to support the evacuation and SAR process," he said.

The rescue evacuation process was carried out by the crew and assisted by KNP. 515, RIB SAR Denpasar and several small boats located around the Sanur Port. Where the first action was taken by opening the ship's life raft to help evacuate passengers to land.

Based on manifest data, the total number of passengers is 75 people and the crew is five people. It was reported that the death toll was two Chinese foreigners on behalf of Shio Guo Hong (20 years) and Hanqing Yu (37 years).

"As well as one Indonesian crew member on behalf of Kadek Adi Jaya Dinata (23 years old) who is still in the search process by the Joint SAR Team. Meanwhile, all passengers who survived have been successfully evacuated to Bali Mandara Hospital and BMCC," he said.

Masyhud said KSOP Benoa had also formed an Emergency Command Post and VTS Benoa had issued a Navigational Warning to all ships around the scene.
