Ministry Of Public Works And BGN Sign MoU To Accelerate MBG Kitchen Development

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the acceleration of the construction of a Free Nutrition Food (MBG) kitchen or also known as the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo and the Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana at the Ministry of Public Works office, Jakarta, Monday, July 21.

Dody said that his party will maximize the development of the SPPG infrastructure until the end of 2025.

"God willing, we will maximize it until the end of 2025. Because at least from what we are targeting 1,542 (SPPG), some of them can be (worked). This is actually the beginning of the big step forward," he said.

He said that his party would learn from its original experience, namely building a People's School (SR) assigned by the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).

However, said Dody, his party still encounters the same obstacles as the construction of the People's School, namely the matter of land.

"Based on our experience helping the Ministry of Social Affairs for the affairs of People's Schools, the hardest thing is to find land that meets the criteria," said Dody.

Therefore, Dody said, his party will immediately hold an online discussion with all regional heads to discuss the readiness of the SPPG land.

"Well, I hope that early next week all regional heads or at least their envoys can be present at the Ministry of Public Works with the necessary equipment, so that next week we can get a large number of locations," he explained.

Meanwhile, Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana said, later there will be three patterns in the construction of SPPG. First, partnership.

"And this partnership is now the backbone of the National Nutrition Agency. Today, there are 3,233 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units already running," Dadan explained.

Pola kedua adalah pembangunan melalui APBN. Dadan menargetkan, ada tiga SPPG per kabupaten untuk seluruh Indonesia.

"Sehingga, ada 1.542 yang sampai sekarang belum satu pun dibangun," tuturnya.

Adapun pola ketiga atau terakhir, yakni pengembangan pola 3T.

"Pola ketiga yang akan kami kembangkan adalah pola 3T dan mungkin juga ini nanti bisa saja bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum," pungkasnya.

The second pattern is development through the APBN. Dadan targets, there are three SPPGs per district for all of Indonesia.

"So, there are 1,542 that have not been built yet," he said.

The third or last pattern is the development of the 3T pattern.

"The third pattern that we will develop is the 3T pattern and maybe this could later cooperate with the Ministry of Public Works," he concluded.
