Prabowo Meeting With Luhut, Asks The DEN To Maintain Growth

President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with the Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and members of the DEN at the private residence of the President, Bukit Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java.

During the meeting, President Prabowo gave directions to the National Economic Council to prepare concrete steps to maintain growth and accelerate national economic growth amid geopolitical and geoeconomic uncertainty.

"The Head of State (President Prabowo, ed.) has given directions so that in the midst of global economic uncertainty, we must remain vigilant and prepare concrete steps to maintain resilience and accelerate national economic growth," said Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 31.

The National Economic Council, led by Luhut, reported to President Prabowo a global situation full of uncertainty so that it needs to be vigilant and ready to anticipate various risks and disturbances that could threaten the national economy.

However, Seskab Teddy said at the meeting that the DEN said that national economic growth was still projected at a higher level than other countries given Indonesia's strong and solid economic fundamentals.

"Indonesia's success in trade negotiations with the United States is a strategic opportunity, especially to encourage exports and investment in the labor-intensive sector that has contributed greatly to job creation," continued Seskab Teddy.

In front of President Prabowo, the DEN also said that deregulation remains the main key, both at the central and regional levels.

"The simplification of regulations will be a catalyst for an inclusive and sustainable economic acceleration," said Seskab Teddy, distributing one of the DEN's reports to the President.

At the President's private residence, DEN Chairman Luhut Binsar was accompanied by several members of the DEN, one of which was Arief Anshory. The ranks of the DEN looked compact wearing batik, as seen from the photos shared by the Cabinet Secretariat.

Meanwhile, President Prabowo was accompanied by Seskab Teddy, and a young professional who is currently the Special Staff of President Dirgayuza Setiawan.
