JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) revealed that there is one oil and gas project that will be onstream in the near future.

Head of the SKK Migas Program and Communication Division, Hudi D. Suryodipuro, said that the oil and gas project had actually been projected to start producing in the third quarter of 2025.

"In the near future there will be a stay-tuned next week. That's Tuesday, someone will be on stream," said Hudi to the media crew, Friday, July 25.

However, Hudi did not provide any leaks related to the contractor and the name of the field that will start operating. He reasoned that the details of the project must be announced by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia.

Hudi said that the project that will be produced in the near future will be a continuation of the project that has been produced previously.

"It's a follow-up of a new on stream project this year. So there's an addition from there," he continued.

For information, in the third quarter of 2025, there are three oil and gas projects that are scheduled to produce, namely NDD A14 stage-2 which is operated by Pertamina Hulu Rokan, Akasia Bagus Stage-1 by Pertamina EP, and Karamba by Indosino O&G.

In fact, throughout this year SKK Migas has scheduled 15 oil and gas projects with four of them producing.

The four projects included Terubuk Medco E&P Natuna on April 24, 2025, Balam GS Upgrade PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan on May 16, 2025, Central Leteng Rawa Expansion Medco E&P Grissik Ltd. on March 14, 2025, and BUIC-C14 ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd. on June 23, 2025.
