BGN Reminds The Use Of Official Logo Without Permits Can Violate The Law

JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) reminds all people, business actors, and related parties to be wise and responsible for using the logo or official identity of state institutions.

This appeal was conveyed following the findings of the use of the official BGN logo by outside parties in the promotion of products of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) without permission.

Head of the BGN Legal and Public Relations Bureau, Khairul Hidayati, emphasized that the BGN logo is an official state identity whose use has been strictly regulated in applicable regulations. Use without official approval is a violation of the law.

"We appeal to the entire community and business actors not to use the logo, emblem, or official attributes of the National Nutrition Agency without written permission from us. The logo of a state institution is an official identity that must be maintained together in order to maintain public trust," Hida said in his statement, Monday, July 21.

Hida also emphasized that he would take legal action if there were serious or repeated violations. "If there are repeated violations or have a serious impact on the image of the institution and the interests of the community, we will still take legal steps," he added.

Furthermore, Hida ensured that BGN had never appointed or cooperated with any party related to the procurement of SPPG products. He reminded the public to be more vigilant against parties on behalf of BGN in any form, including using logos as promotional tools.

"We invite the public to be more vigilant and not easily believe if there are certain parties who use BGN's name, logo, or attributes without official clarification from us. If you find something similar, please report it to BGN through the official channel," he said.

As a legal reference, the use of the BGN logo has been regulated in Article 3 and Article 5 of the Regulation of the National Nutrition Agency Number 3 of 2024. The regulation emphasizes that the logo may only be used by BGN in official institutional activities, while outsiders are required to obtain written permission from BGN before its use.
