PT Allo Bank Indonesia Tbk (BBHI) has opened its voice regarding the appointment of former President Director (Managing Director) of Allo Bank Indra Utoyo who is a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of electronic data capture (EDC) machines at Bank BRI for the 2020-2024 period by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Director of Risk, Compliance & Legal Allo Bank Duanda Raharja Rusli said, former President Director of Allo Bank Indra Utoyo has resigned from his position since July 10.
He ensured that Allo Bank's operations continued smoothly, services to customers were not disrupted, and bank governance was also not affected at all.
"We make sure that Allo Bank's operations are not disrupted, customer services are not disrupted and also our governance has no influence at all. Because that is related to his previous position in the bank," he explained to the media crew, Thursday, July 17.
Ganda said that his party would follow the applicable regulations and would soon hold a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) in the near term.
"We'll see if it's time but we will follow the applicable regulations that within 90 days there must be a GMS like that," he explained.
He emphasized that currently Allo Bank is carrying out the process in accordance with OJK regulations, which requires banks to ratify the resignation through the resignation of shares within 90 days.
Previously, the KPK announced five suspects in alleged corruption in the procurement of EDC machines for Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) or BBRI. Meanwhile, the rental scheme was carried out twice, namely in 2020 for three years at once until 2023 and 2023 for the extension of 2024-2026.
The total budget reached Rp1,258,550,510,487 with a total EDC for merchant needs of 200,067 units.
