KKP Calls 34 Fish Processing Units Can Additional Export Access To Three Countries

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) said that as many as 34 Fish Processing Units (UPI) had officially received additional export approval numbers (approval numbers) to Vietnam, South Korea, and Canada.

"Indonesia fishery products add export access to three countries, namely Vietnam, South Korea and Canada," wrote the KKP.

The KKP detailed that Vietnam has increased export access to 20 UPIs in the country, while South Korea has increased export access to 8 UPIs and Canadas by 6 UPIs.

So that a total of 611 UPIs can export to Vietnam, then 667 UPIs can access exports to the South Korean market and 337 UPIs to Canada.

"This is clear evidence of the KKP Quality Body's strategy to maintain product quality from upstream to downstream as well as wider access to export markets," he explained.

According to the KKP, his party continues to make breakthroughs to ensure the quality and safety of fishery products from upstream to downstream.

The strategy includes strengthening cross-sector synergies to encourage nine quality-hilir certifications for global standards, inspection and quality surveillance.

Then, increase the quality test capacity and establish cooperation and quality system equality network with export destination countries.

"KKP continues to oversee the quality and safety of marine and fishery products to increase competitiveness and acceptance of Indonesian fishery products in the global market," he concluded.
