Pertamina Refinery Successfully Secures Fuel Production During Eid Holidays

JAKARTA - The Pertamina International Refinery (KPI) managed to secure the production of fuel oil (BBM) during the Eid al-Adha long holiday period.

KPI Corporate Secretary, Hermansyah Y Nasroen explained, KPI has a commitment to ensure that the refinery continues to operate and there must be a long holiday, as well as during the Eid al-Adha holiday some time ago.

"The six refineries managed by KPI have managed to maintain the reliability of the refinery so that it can operate according to the targets that have been prepared," said Hermansyah, Wednesday, June 11.

According to Hermansyah, there are several important steps that have been taken by KPI during the long holiday period.

"Setting human resources is one of the important keys to ensuring the refinery continues to operate," explained Hermansyah.

Previously, KPI had made arrangements for human resources that still had to work during the holidays.

To ensure and provide moral support, the highest leadership and unit management also make visits to the refinery.

KPI continues to maintain its consistency in processing crude oil. From January to May 2025, KPI has processed around 132 million barrels of crude.

In the same period, KPI succeeded in producing gasoline series fuel of around 35.1 million barrels and gasoil series of around 50.5 million barrels and avtur of around 8.1 million barrels.

"The commemoration of religious holidays is one of the important moments in our culture, but there is an obligation that is no less important. This is where the role of management to be a role model role in setting an example that the responsibility to ensure that refineries operate safely and reliably is something that must be done with full responsibility," explained Hermansyah.

During the visit to the refinery, apart from keeping in touch with the operators on duty, the management team also carried out direct supervision regarding aspects of reliability and Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE).

Although some workers still have to be at the refinery, all KPI operating units also continue to carry out Eid al-Adha activities.

All units carry out ied prayers and slaughtering sacrificial animals.

"Ied prayers in congregation are also one of the rides for friendship with the community around the refinery, because it is not uncommon for ied prayers to be carried out together with residents around the refinery," concluded Hermansyah Hermansyah.
