790 Thousand Vehicles Leave Jabotabek During Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk predicts that as many as 790,196 vehicles will leave the Jabotabek area during the Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri holiday or the period 6-9 June 2025.

This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (to Merak), Ciawi GT (to Puncak), and Cikampek Utama GT (to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (to Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 19.44 percent compared to normal traffic," said Jasa Marga President Director Rivan Achmad Purwantono, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 6.

For traffic distribution leaving Jabotabek from all three directions, Jasa Marga recorded 385,892 vehicles (48.8 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung) with the majority of vehicles heading towards Bandung, 215,814 vehicles (27.3 percent) heading West (Merak), and 188,491 vehicles (23.9 percent) heading South (Puncak).

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 193,259 vehicles, an increase of 52 percent from normal traffic.

For traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 192,633 vehicles, an increase of 33.82 percent from normal traffic.

The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 385,892 vehicles, an increase of 42.34 percent from normal traffic.

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 215,814 vehicles, 3.28 percent lower than normal traffic.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 188,491 vehicles, an increase of 12.65 percent from normal traffic.

Rivan appealed to all travelers to plan trips by downloading the Travoy application.

He emphasized that Travoy provided traffic information through real-time CCTV, rest area locations, GetPay features, toll tariff information and other interesting features that are very useful so that the trip can be safe, calm and fun.

Toll road users are also advised to anticipate trips well. Before entering the toll road, make sure the vehicle and driver are in prime condition.

Then, use the time wisely by taking sufficient time to rest in the rest area, ensuring the adequacy of fuel, electronic money balances, and complying with signs and directions from officers in the field.
