JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) has established strategic cooperation with the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) or Indonesia Eximbank to increase national exports.
This collaboration includes three things for Cooperation Agreements (PKS), namely short-term lending with a limit of IDR 1 trillion and treasury line facilities with a Credit Equivalent Limit of US$3.6 million, credit guarantees for export-oriented business actors, and the development of MSME capacity in order to be able to compete in the global market.
Bank Mandiri EVP Senior Dadang Ramadhan explained that this collaboration aims to encourage more structured national export financing and in line with sustainability commitments.
In addition, he conveyed that this strategic collaboration was part of Bank Mandiri's commitment to expanding its role as a financial partner for exporters.
"Through this synergy, Bank Mandiri provides more flexible access to funding to support business actors in increasing Indonesia's export contribution," Dadang said in his statement, Wednesday, May 28.
Dadang conveyed that cooperation also includes credit guarantees and the development of MSME capacity as a form of commitment to encourage exports to small and medium enterprises.
"Bank Mandiri and LPEI will continue to expand support for MSMEs through coaching and access to capital so that they can advance to the global market," he added.
Dadang said that this scheme is expected to increase the confidence of business actors in expanding their business into the international market.
"Bank Mandiri assesses that strengthening the role of MSMEs in exports is crucial in the midst of a global uncertainty situation, so continuous support is needed in terms of capacity and working capital," he explained.
According to him, this capacity development cooperation includes training, mentoring, and access to financing focused on potential sectors for export.
Dadang said that this program is also integrated with the government's target to expand the contribution of MSMEs to national exports, which are currently still below 15 percent.
In addition to financing and capacity development, he said Bank Mandiri also strengthens export services through the digital platform Kopra by Mandiri.
"This service is designed to provide convenience transactions to exporters through a portal that includes financing, remittance, and market information features," he said.
According to him, this step reflects Bank Mandiri's acceleration in strengthening its position as a strategic partner for national exporters, not only in terms of large corporations but also MSMEs.
Dadang conveyed that this commitment is in line with efforts to build a more resilient and export-oriented economic foundation.
This synergy is proof of Bank Mandiri's commitment to supporting sustainable export financing. We believe that strategic collaboration with LPEI will accelerate the contribution of MSMEs in the global supply chain and provide a solid foothold for them to penetrate the international market," he said.
Plt. LPEI's Director of Financial, Operational and Information Technology, Anwar Harsono, said that the Short-Term Credit and Treasury Line facilities were optimized to accelerate export financing with high added value.
"Bank Mandiri facilities are expected to support the implementation of the role of LPEI in facilitating national exporters more optimally," said Anwar.
Anwar explained that this agreement also allows LPEI to provide guarantees for financing facilities distributed by Bank Mandiri, both in the form of working capital financing and investment financing, to Bank Mandiri customers who have export orientation.

Anwar said that thus, the productive assets financed will be recorded as smooth quality and this scheme is also expected to increase the confidence of business actors to expand exports to the international market.
Then, LPEI also developed the capacity of Bank Mandiri's MSMEs as part of a joint effort to foster and develop Indonesian MSMEs to compete globally and become part of a strong and sustainable export ecosystem.
In addition, Bank Mandiri and Indonesia Eximbank will conduct training and assistance to MSMEs at 12 points of Bank Mandiri's region.
