The Exhibition Of Printing Evidence Of The Creative Economy And Yogyakarta MSMEs Is Back In Movement

YOGYAKARTA - The creative economy and MSMEs in the city of Yogyakarta, especially in the field of printing, have resumed their activities. The holding of a printing exhibition through the Jogja Printing Expo 2025 is proof that there is enthusiasm and development of the creative economy and MSMEs.

Jogja Printing Expo 2025 is the first printing exhibition to be held in Yogyakarta. The presence of an exhibition that lasts for four days from Wednesday, May 21, 2025 to Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Jogja Expo Center (JEC), has at least opened up insights regarding printing machine technology.

Deputy Mayor of Yogyakarta, Wawan Harmawan, appreciated the implementation of the 2025 Jogja Printing Expo. Moreover, the city of Yogyakarta has great potential in the development of the world of printing.

"We appreciate this exhibition which was first held in Yogyakarta. The choice of this city as the venue for the 2025 Jogja Printing Expo, hopefully, it can provide benefits to all business people participating in this exhibition," said the Deputy Mayor of Yogyakarta.

"Yogyakarta itself is a city of students or a city of education but also a city of tourism and culture. This city is also the center of business and government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The existence of thousands of students and students as well as intellectuals from all corners of Indonesia with all economic activities, has great potential that encourages the development of the world of printing in Yogyakarta," he said.

Wawan, further, said that the printing industry is quite unique. Although book printing, magazines or newspapers have decreased due to the increasing rapid digital world, the industry is not dead at all or experiencing vacuum. The industry can still grow because of orders for packaging or packaging culinary products.

Packaging of food and beverage products is also growing because of the creative power of these industry players. This is what makes the creative economy take an important role in the world of printing.

"So the steps to hold the exhibition with Jogja Printing Expo 2025 with Jogja Food & Beverage Expo 2025 and Jogja Pack & Process Expo and Jogja All Tea Expo are a synergy to provide benefits for all parties. Because this exhibition is a forum for industry players to share information, experiences and knowledge with each other," said Wawan.

"This exhibition is a common ground between industry players and potential buyers such as trading partners, and investors from within and outside the country," he said.

Exhibitions that present more than 150 participants, including 40 MSME players, feature superior products from the food, beverage, packaging, and printing sectors. With a target of 12,000 visitors, exhibitions can be an attraction.

"With expos like this, the printing industry in Yogyakarta can be more developed and competitive, both at the national and international levels. MSMEs and entrepreneurs in Yogyakarta are more open to their insights regarding the latest printing machine technology," he said.

"We hope this exhibition can provide inspiration and motivation for the younger generation to be involved in the printing world," said the Deputy Mayor again.
