The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) and the Ministry of Law signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate and accelerate the rollout of various strategic programs in the ministry, one of which is the program for the formation of 80 thousand Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes/Kel) in all villages in Indonesia.
"Through this MoU, I am optimistic and confident that the legality process for the formation of 80 thousand Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih can be accelerated even more," said Coordinating Minister Budi Arie Setiadi, Wednesday, May 14.
Not only the faster process, Budi Arie also believes that the presence of the Red and White Kopdes in the village community will be more accountable, transparent, and more credible.
"We are strengthening legal umbrellas along with signs, so that the Red and White Kopdes/Kel walk on the right path," he said.
The Coordinating Minister emphasized that with the MoU, the journey of the Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih in the future can be protected legally and far from all gaps in irregularities.
"We must succeed the Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih program, by strengthening collaboration between ministries and institutions," said Budi Arie.
On the same occasion, Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas invited all ministries/agencies to strengthen collaboration in carrying out all programs, especially regarding laws and regulations.
