Printing A New Record, Cinema XXI Records More Than 14 Million Viewers As Of April 2025

JAKARTA - PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk or Cinema XXI (CNMA) set a new record with a record of more than 14 million viewers throughout its cinema network in April 2025.

This achievement surpassed the previous record recorded in June 2019 of 11.7 million viewers. This achievement in April 2025 is the highest in the history of the company.

"We would like to thank all Indonesian people who remain loyal to watching films in theaters and choosing Cinema XXI as the main choice. We also thank film producers and distributors who constantly support the existence and growth of the cinema industry in Indonesia," said Cinema XXI President Director Suryo Suherman as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 2.

This achievement, according to him, is also a new challenge for the management of Cinema XXI to continue to maintain, even improve, the positive performance that has been achieved.

"With the support of a strong film line-up, both from national and international production in 2025, we are optimistic to exceed the achievements in 2024" he added.

Therefore, the company is committed to continuing to provide a comfortable, quality, and affordable viewing experience for all Indonesian people.

Cinema XXI itself posted revenue of Rp929.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025.

The achievement in the first three months of 2025 was mainly contributed by sales of cinema tickets of 63 percent and the food and beverage business (F&B) line of 33 percent.

Cinema XXI continues to show healthy business performance by recording positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of IDR 125.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025.

Not only that, the company also maintains a spend per head (SPH) for the purchase of F&B products amounting to Rp24,425, higher than the same period in 2024 of Rp22,401.

The four newest cinemas opened during the first quarter of 2025 are Tenth Avenue XXI Bandung, Living World Grand Wisata XXI Bekasi, City Mall XXI Airport Tangerang, and Mall Indramayu XXI.

Thus, until March 31, 2025, the Cinema XXI network has reached 66 cities/regencies throughout Indonesia, with a total of 1,365 screens on 260 cinema locations.
