KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said this innovation was an effective solution in unraveling long queues and accelerating the boarding process amidst the high mobility of the community.
Through the use of FR technology, continued Anne, KAI managed to save the use of 1,655 ticket paper rollers, which is equivalent to cost efficiency of IDR 24,820,000 during Eid transportation since March 21, 2025.

FR Available At 21 Stations
Anne said FR services were available at 21 stations in various KAI operational areas.
