CILEGON - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga confirmed the issue of shifting or shifting Pertamina's fuel consumption due to the issue of mixed fuel that surfaced some time ago.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Heppy Wulansari said Pertamax users are now shifting using Pertalite and Pertamax Turbo.

"Maybe because yesterday, the Pertamax issue was, so there were indeed many people who switched between Pertalite and Turbo," said Heppy to the media crew at TBBM Tanjung Gerem, Cilegon, Thursday, March 13.

Meanwhile, regarding the statement by the Pertamina Gerem gas station officer, who previously said that there was a shift in Pertalite's direction to Pertamax Turbo, Heppy admitted that he had not found such a shift.

"From Pertalite to Pertamax, I don't think I have found it yet. Pertamax to Pertamax Turbo, right? What's worried is that there will be an oplosan in Pertamax, right? It's like that," continued Heppy.

Heppy added, based on data owned by Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN), there is an increase in Pertamax Turbo consumption which has an octane rate of 98 alias higher than Pertamax with an octane value of 92.

"In terms of percentage, it's a big thing, yes, but in volume it's really small," he said.

The increase in Pertamax Turbo fuel was recorded at 30 percent of sales before the issue of mixed fuel bursts,

"What is certain is that currently Pertamax Turbo sales are increasing. It's up about 30 percent. But this is still a fluctuating number. Not bad," explained Heppy.

Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia revealed that there was a shift in Pertamax consumption by 5 percent after the issue of mixed fuel was widely discussed.

"At the gas station, I asked whether there was a change in consumption from RON 90 or Pertamax to Pertalite, which was RON 92. There was indeed a slight shift of about 5 percent," Bahlil explained.

Nevertheless, Bahlil admitted that the government continues to test the quality of Pertamina's fuel.

During his working visit to Cilegon, Bahlil also tested the quality of Pertamina's fuel by cooperating with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' Lemigas in a number of Pertamina products such as Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo and Pertalite.

"We check and everything is with technology, with the average lab everything is within the rules above 725. Meanwhile, the Director General's regulations are 715 to 770," he said.

For this reason, Bahlil appealed to people who will go home and also users of Pertamina's fuel to no longer doubt the quality of fuel produced by this state-owned oil and gas company.

"There is no need to doubt the quality of the fuel prepared by Pertamina. Both RON 90 and RON 92 and RON 98," said Bahlil.
