Welcoming the Eid 2025 Holiday period from March 28, 2025 to April 7, 2025, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has prepared cash of IDR 32.8 trillion.

The readiness of these funds is carried out to anticipate an increase in the need for public cash transactions during the moment of Eid al-Fitr.

BRI SEVP Operations Nyoman Sugiri Yasa revealed that the provision of cash was BRI's strategic step in maintaining the smooth running of economic activity and ensuring that banking services remained optimal during the Eid holiday period.

"Every year, the moment of Eid is always accompanied by requests for cash in the community. Therefore, BRI ensures adequate availability of liquidity, especially in branch offices and ATM machines spread throughout Indonesia," said Nyoman, Saturday, March 8.

The amount of money prepared by BRI this year was recorded to have decreased by 6.12 percent from last year's realization.

"The cash projection provided by BRI is lower than last year's realization due to the decline in cash withdrawal transactions by 15 percent yoy and people who are increasingly accustomed to cashless transactions," added Nyoman.

On the other hand, digital transactions at BRI are recorded to continue to increase. As in the number of BRImo Super Apps transactions which has increased by 40.54 percent yoy, BRI QRIS transactions grew 186 percent yoy and BRI merchant EDC transactions increased 177 percent yoy.

In addition to preparing cash funds, BRI also ensures that digital banking services such as BRImo remain optimal so that customers can make non-cash transactions easily and safely.

Meanwhile, BRI also ensured the reliability of ATM and CRM machines, which until the end of December 2024 reached 19,670 units throughout Indonesia.

As of the end of December 2024, BRI has more than 796 thousand e-channel networks consisting of 776 thousand EDC, 10 thousand ATM machines and 9 thousand CRM machines.

BRI also operates a limited number of service offices at strategic points during the Eid holiday, in order to accommodate the needs of people who still need conventional banking services. BRI also relies on more than 1 million BRILink Agents spread throughout Indonesia as an extension of banking services.
