Garuda And Citilink Lower Airline Ticket Prices For The 2025 Eid Homecoming Period

JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia's national airline together with its subsidiary, Citilink fully supports the policy of reducing domestic flight ticket prices in the peak season 1446H/2025.

This plane ticket price drop applies to purchases from March 1 to April 7, with a travel period of March 24 to April 7, 2025.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Military Commander Tsani Panjaitan, said that his party understands that the moment of the holiday is a time that most people have been waiting for to meet and stay in touch with their families and relatives.

"Therefore, air transportation services at affordable prices during the peak season period are certainly one of the needs for the community in planning homecoming trips to their hometowns," he said in an official statement, written Tuesday, March 4.

The Military Commander said that in accordance with the government's decision, during the Lebaran period this time it is projected that the average decrease in ticket prices felt by the community can reach up to 14 percent.

This price reduction component mostly comes from the supporting components of ticket prices, including the decrease in fuel surcharge, PJP2U and PJP4U, to the provision of Value Added Tax (VAT) incentives from the Government at 6 percent.

"We would like to thank you for the support and synergy of the ministries and well-established SOE partners, so that we, as part of a solid aviation ecosystem, can support the Government's commitment to meet the public's need for affordable ticket prices during the Eid period," said the Military Commander.

The implementation of the decrease in aircraft ticket prices has certainly been carefully taken into account, especially from the projected aspect of passenger growth in the peak season of Eid this time.

"Garuda Indonesia Group is optimistic that the implementation of the policy to reduce ticket prices will also have an impact on the Company's revenue growth which is contributed by the increase in the number of passenger transportation in the Eid season," said the Military Commander.
