Increase Bankrupt Assets, Curator Will Rent Sritex Assets To New Investors

JAKARTA - The Curator Team of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) will lease Sritex's assets to new investors. The Kurator Team of Sritex Nurma Sadikin revealed that this is an option to increase bankrupt assets and keep assets from falling in value.

"I represent the curator and will convey that the curator has opened an option for the rental of heavy equipment," he said in an online press statement at the State Palace, Monday, March 3.

He explained that currently his party has communicated with several investors who are interested in renting assets. Later, the decision on which investors are entitled will be announced within the next two weeks.

With the assets leased to new investors, Nurma ensures that she will absorb the workforce of Sritex workers who have been affected by the Termination of Work Relations (PHK).

"The curator is also committed to paying the rights of workers, which is currently in the bill registration process, there are labor rights including severance pay and other rights," explained Nurma.

He added that later on, the recruitment for former Sritex workers will be carried out by new tenants who are also engaged in textile uzitri.

"Now the curator is opening options from investors who are in the field of textiles to rent. And there are already several investors who are already in communication," he explained.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who was present on the same occasion, said that later investors who had just recruited 8,000 Sritex workers from 4 companies would be re-employed in factories.

"However, we hope to remain in the field that has been carried out so far. This means that PT Sritex will continue to move in the textile sector," said Prasetyo.

He admitted that he did not know who the new investor in the textile company would be. However, he stressed that the scheme to be charged in the form of asset rentals and old employees would be re-employed.

"It will be rented then in parallel Sritex employees will be re-recorded for later re-employment," said Prasetyo.
