There Are 16 PSN Entrance Dams In The Prabowo Leadership Era

JAKARTA - Director General of Water Resources of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) Lilik Retno Cahyadiningsih said, as many as 16 dams were included in the list of National Strategic Projects (PSN) in the era of President Prabowo Subianto's leadership.

Lilik said that initially the efficiency of the budget made his party only able to prioritize the construction of the Jenelata Dam. Meanwhile, the remaining 15 dams were not prioritized.

However, after the reconstruction of efficiency in the Ministry of Public Works budget, said Lilik, his party could relax budgeting. A total of 15 dams are further included in priority.

"Earlier, one was because of the loan. If you have a loan, right, you can't have an efficiency. So, the loan, SBSN will continue. Then, after the reconstruction, we will relax 15 dams," said Lilik when met at his office, Friday, February 28.

With the continuing 15 projects, in the future there will be 16 dams that will be built. Lilik also said that the 16 projects would be included in the PSN list.

"The 16 are included in PSN," he said.

The Ministry of Public Works is also working to encourage its projects to use the Government's Cooperation with Business Entity (PPP) scheme. However, until now, according to him, no dam projects have been offered to investors.

On the other hand, the number of PSN figures is different from the list of indications for PSN 2025-2029 based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 12 of 2025 concerning the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025-2029.

Quoted from the Presidential Decree, there are four dam projects that are included in the list of indications for PSN 2025-2029. The four dams include the Way Apu Dam, Jragung Dam, Mbay Dam and Bulango Ulu Dam.

However, the regulation explains that the four existing dams are indicative that can be changed/add based on the evaluation of the PSN that has been previously determined and buried over. This step is also based on an assessment of new projects that meet the criteria according to applicable regulations.

The following is a list of priority dams in the era of President Prabowo Subianto (2025-2029) along with the investment value:

1. Way Apu Dam (Maluku) worth IDR 2.16 trillion;

2. Jragung Dam (Central Java) worth IDR 3 trillion;

3. Bulango Ulu Dam (Gorontalo) worth IDR 2.42 trillion;

4. Manikin Dam (NTT) worth IDR 1.9 trillion;

5. Budong-Budong Dam (West Sulawesi) worth IDR 1.02 trillion;

6. Bagong Dam (East Java) worth IDR 1.6 trillion;

7. Bener Dam (Central Java) worth IDR 2.06 trillion;

8. Mbay Dam (NTT) worth IDR 1.47 trillion;

9. Tiga Dihaji Dam (South Sumatra) worth IDR 3.73 trillion;

10. Karangnongko Dam (Central Java) worth IDR 1.26 trillion;

11. Cijurey Dam (West Java) worth IDR 3.7 trillion;

12. Jenelata Dam (South Sulawesi) worth IDR 4.1 trillion;

13. Cabean Dam (Central Java) worth IDR 571 billion;

14. Cibeet Dam (West Java) worth IDR 5.5 trillion;

15. Riam Kiwa Dam (South Kalimantan) worth IDR 1.8 trillion.
