Sri Mulyani Will Coordinate Monetary And Fiscal Policy With BI To Encourage The Economy

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that she would continue to cooperate with Bank Indonesia (BI) to coordinate monetary and fiscal policies to encourage the economy.

This was conveyed by Sri Mulyani after a meeting with the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Dony Oskaria, Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo and Chairman of Commission XI DPR Mukhamad Misbakhun.

"Together with Bank Indonesia to coordinate its fiscal monetary policy to maintain three things that are equally important," he said at a press conference, Thursday, February 20.

Sri Mulyani conveyed this to support the economic growth that President Prabowo Subianto hopes to achieve 8 percent, create job opportunities, and maintain financial stability and price stability.

"His party continues to manage the APBN with fiscal discipline, remains responsive, and supports development programs," he said.

Sri Mulyani said that her party is also committed to continuing to develop creativity in financing so that it can increase support, not only for the housing sector, but also for other sectors.
