Housing Developers Are Confused That There Is No Roadmap Program Of 3 Million Houses, Ketum REI: Where Do We Want To Be Invited?

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) has not released a roadmap or roadmap for program three as well as houses to date. It also makes housing developers confused.

Without a clear road map, housing developers do not have a development direction.

Therefore, Chairman of the Association for Development of Settlements and Public Housing (Himperra) Ari Tri Priyono urged the Ministry of PKP to focus on completing the roadmap program made by President Prabowo Subianto.

"How about ROadmap? We want to be invited where? Do we help FLPP (housing financing liquidity facility) or on the other hand?" Ari said in a press conference in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18.

The three million houses per year are programs promised by President Prabowo Subianto since the 2024 presidential election campaign. Prabowo will build one million houses in urban areas and two million houses in rural areas.

Thus, the Head of State formed the Ministry of PKP as well as appointed Maruarar Sirait as minister and Fahri Hamzah as deputy minister.

Housing developers need a roadmap program of three million houses to be able to find out the detailed plans for the construction of houses in rural areas and in urban areas.

The reason, Ari said, is that the developers are ready to help the government realize the program.

According to Ari, the program of three million houses should ideally have been running at this time. Moreover, the Prabowo government has passed 100 working days, aka more than three months. This means, according to him, this new government has entered a third of the year.

"If three million houses per year, it should have been a million (which is running)," he said.

However, Ari assessed, the program is still shrouded in uncertainty because developers alone do not yet know the roadmap for building houses in cities, villages, and coasts.

"It's pitch black. We've only been talking about FLPP for months, which is actually running smoothly, just a quota short," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Joko Suranto also demanded President Prabowo to provide certainty and explanation to housing developers regarding the three million house program.

According to him, the program still creates uncertainty and developers find it difficult to answer public questions.

"There are two million questions, three million houses, what about?" he said.

Actually, Joko continued, the developers had asked the Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait (Ara) for an explanation.

However, Ara only always answered that the program had been reported to the president and was ordered by the president.

"So we have the right to get direct clarity from the president. We ask that there is room for dialogue between the developer association and the president," he added.
