JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) Eko SA Cahyanto said that his institution was affected by budget efficiency of IDR 1.1 trillion. Initially, the Ministry of Industry had a budget of a total of IDR 2.5 trillion.
"This efficiency is almost all ministries/agencies because there is an instruction from the president (Inpres). The efficiency we received is around 44.38 percent of the budget ceiling in 2025," Eko told reporters when met at the Ministry of Industry office, Wednesday, February 5.
"Then we (prioritize) the need for personnel spending," he continued.
Eko said that his institution is still making adjustments to the efficiency of the budget. Even so, he emphasized that the budget cuts did not interfere with a number of programs that had been prepared.
"Currently, we are still calculating. We have until February 14 to convey to the Minister of Finance (Sri Mulyani) the value of each component that has been given a recommendation by the Minister of Finance for efficiency," said Eko.
"Therefore, there must be a way to ensure that performance is maintained, operations continue, public services must also be implemented and our targets can be achieved," he continued.
