Raker Together With The Government, Commission VI Of The DPR Agrees To Bring The BUMN Bill To The Plenary Meeting

JAKARTA - Commission VI of the DPR RI has agreed that the Draft Law (RUU) Number 18 of 2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) will be brought to level II or Plenary Meetings.

This agreement was taken at the Working Committee (Panja) meeting of the BUMN Bill which was held in the Meeting Room of Commission VI of the DPR RI, Nusantara I Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Initially, the Chairman of Panja Eko Hendro Purnomo read out the Panja report regarding the drafting of the bill.

Then, each faction submits a written view at the leadership table.

Then, Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI Anggia Erma Rini said that each faction had approved the BUMN Bill to be brought to the Plenary Session.

"So we can conclude that from the eight factions in Commission VI of the DPR, we have approved the Bill on the third amendment to Law Number 18 of 2003 concerning SOEs to be brought to level II discussions at the DPR RI Plenary Meeting to be approved into law, do you agree?" asked Anggia.

"Agreed," answered all the meeting participants.

It is known that the DPR and the Government are currently drafting a BUMN Bill. One of the things that will be regulated is the monopoly rights of state-owned companies. This point was revealed in the presentation of this meeting.

In addition to regulating the monopoly rights, the bill also regulates the Anagata Nusantara (Dantara) Resources Investment Agency (BP).

Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir admitted that he could not confirm when the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (DANTara) would be inaugurated.

Erick said the establishment of this institution depended on the completion of the BUMN draft law (RUU).
