JAKARTA - Pertamina International Refinery (KPI) will produce diesel type (BBM) with a mixture of biodiesel-based biodiesel fuel of 40 percent or B40.

He explained that the production of B40 from the Plaju Refinery is targeted at 119,240 KL per month while for Kasim Refinery as many as 15,898 KL per month.

"Today KPI carried out the initial distribution of Biosolar B40 fuel produced from Plaju Refinery in South Sumatra as many as 5,000 KL and Kasim Refinery in Southwest Papua as many as 4,600 KL," explained Taufik.

He said that the refinery's readiness to produce B40 was a form of KPI's commitment to providing better energy from environmental aspects, economic aspects, social aspects as well as sustainability aspects.

"This B40 Bio-Production will of course also contribute to KPI in achieving Net Zero Emission in 2060 or sooner, supporting Sustainable Development Goals in ensuring affordable energy access and in implementing ESG," said Taufik.
