The Transition Process Of The Ministry Of MSMEs Rampung This Week, Immediately Launch A New Logo

JAKARTA - The transition process of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from those previously joined in the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop UKM) is confirmed to be almost completely completed in the third week of January 2025.

Under the command of the Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman, the Ministry of MSMEs based on Presidential Regulation Number 196 of 2024 has 5 echelon I work units and the Public Service Agency (BLU) consisting of the Secretariat of the Ministry, Deputy for Micro Business, Deputy for Small Business, Deputy for Medium Business, Deputy for Entrepreneurship, and BLU LLP - KUKM (Smesco Indonesia).

Secretary of the Ministry of MSMEs (MSME Sesmen) Arif Rahman Hakim said the Ministry of MSMEs has new breaths, by becoming a strategic partner for millions of MSME entrepreneurs in Indonesia to build an inclusive and sustainable ecosystem.

The transition process of the Ministry of MSMEs is also a short-term priority program. Where we want the transition process and organizational structure change of the Ministry of MSMEs to run smoothly, and the program launched can also have a big impact on MSME entrepreneurs," said SesmenUMKM Arif Rahman Hakim in Jakarta, Monday, January 13.

In the near future, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the Minister of MSMEs will launch the latest logo as well as inaugurate all high-ranking middle and pratama officials within the Ministry of MSMEs.

The event will take place at Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta.

Arif added that the Ministry of MSMEs will also occupy an office at the Smesco Indonesia Building located on Jl. Gatot Subroto No.Kav. 94 Pancoran, South Jakarta.

The arrangement of employees within the Ministry of MSMEs has also been completed, of which 491 ASN will join and support the implementation of various strategic programs of the Ministry of MSMEs.

Regarding strategic programs that focus on community empowerment targeting MSME entrepreneurs, Arief continued, there are nine points that will be implemented soon.

The nine programs include "Sapa UMKM", eliminating receivables for MSMEs, legal assistance and assistance services for MSMEs, training and business assistance, involvement of MSMEs in free nutritious food programs and public housing, equipment/infrastructure assistance, business transformation through business formalization and fulfillment of business certification, expansion of access to financing, as well as development and strengthening of entrepreneurship.

"Sapa UMKM merupakan super apps, yang ditujukan untuk mengintegrasikan program pengembangan UMKM di lintas sektor, baik di Kementerian atau Lembaga yang memiliki program pemberdayaan UMKM, Pemda, BUMN/BUMD, Perusahaan swasta, dan stake holder terkait," tutur Arief.

Meanwhile, the elimination of receivables for MSMEs has a legal basis for Government Regulation No. 47 of 2024 concerning the Elimination of bad debts to MSMEs.

The receivables elimination program launched by President Prabowo Subianto is targeting 1 million MSME entrepreneurs.

Arief continued that MSME entrepreneurs will also receive various assistance to continue to develop, such as legal assistance, training and business assistance, equipment/infrastructure assistance, business transformation through business formalization and fulfillment of business certification, expansion of access to financing, to development and strengthening entrepreneurship.

In fact, Arief added, MSME entrepreneurs will also be involved in free nutritious food and public housing programs through several lines such as providing accommodation and providing food and drink, construction, and real estate.

"We want to emphasize that MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, with a total of more than 60 million efforts to unite with each other, like small candles that create light of hope and drive the economy," said Arif.
