PT PLN (Persero) ensures the readiness of electricity services ahead of the 2024 Christmas and New Year 2025 celebrations. PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said his party deployed 81,591 personnel on standby at 1,853 posts throughout Indonesia.
"The standby personnel are equipped with complete equipment, namely 1,731 generator units, 735 units of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), 1,206 units of Mobile Substations (UGB)," Darmawan said at a press conference at the Ministry of SOEs Building, Monday, December 9.
To support mobility, standby personnel are also equipped with complete equipment including 395 units of truck cranes, 3,318 units of motorcycles, and 3,756 units of cars.
"We also anticipate extreme weather. We digitize power plants, digitize smart transmission, smart distribution so that our equipment is really ready and we can respond quickly," he explained.
Darmawan said that his party estimates that the Peak Load (BP) at the Nataru moment this year will reach 39 gigawatts (GW), with a supply capacity of 53 GW, so there is still a power reserve or a margin reserve of 14 GW.
