Until November 2024, Daop 7 Records 8.5 Million Customers Using Train Services

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operational Area 7 Madiun recorded a total volume of 8.5 million customers using train services (KA) in the Daop 7 area from January to November 2024.

Public Relations Manager Daop 7 Madiun Kuswardojo said the millions of passengers were recorded as customers who went up and down at a number of stations in the Daop 7 area.

"This figure shows people's enthusiasm for rail transportation modes which are increasingly in demand due to safety, security, comfort, and time efficiency factors," said Kuswardojo quoting Antara.

In maintaining track reliability, KAI Daop 7 schedules routine monitoring and inspection. Entering the rainy season, the intensity of monitoring is increased through road inspection officers (PPJ) who carry out periodic checks.

He added that as a preparation for transportation in the framework of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 new year holidays, PT KAI Daop 7 Madiun made regular improvements and replacement of infrastructure as an effort to improve the quality of service and safety of train travel.

There are a number of improvements and replacements which include improvements to path geometry at crossings, replacement of R54-type rails, replacement of wessel, as well as updating of rail pads in the Daop 7 region.

In addition, lane inspections are also carried out directly by road and bridge officers by monitoring from inside the locomotive or plocride.

PT KAI is committed to continuing to improve the quality of rail transportation services and safety. With the various efforts that have been made, KAI hopes to provide a safer, more comfortable, and enjoyable travel experience for the entire community.

As planned, the transportation for the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays will take place from 19 December 2024 to 5 January 2025.
