Distribution Of BLT For Cigarette Factory Workers In Kudus Reaches 59,625 Workers

KUDUS - The distribution of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Cigarette Factory Workers in Kudus Regency, Central Java, reached 59,625 workers or 94.36 percent of the target of 63,186 workers.

"Of the number of workers, some received the BLT program from the Kudus APBD and from the Provincial APBD. The number of workers who received BLT from the Kudus APBD was 38,186 workers and the Provincial APBD as many as 25,000 workers," said Head of the Economics Section of the Kudus Regional Secretary Dwi Agung Hartono, quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 2, 2022.

It's just that, he said, in its implementation, it turned out that there were workers who died, changed addresses out of town, some stopped working, the double names and identification numbers (NIK) were not clear.

For the implementation of the distribution of BLT from the Kudus APBD, from the target distribution of 38,186 workers, 37,682 workers or 98.68 percent were distributed, while 504 workers were declared ineligible (TMS) because they died, changed addresses and stopped working.

While the achievement of BLT distribution from the Central Java Provincial Budget is from the target of 25,000 workers, the realization is 21,943 workers or 87.77 percent because there are 3,057 workers who are declared TMS due to the same factors, and there are double names and unclear NIK.

According to him, so that the distribution of the 2022 BLT program is right on target, the recipient list will be re-verified, including a new list of prospective recipients.

In the 2022 budget year, a similar program is again budgeted at Rp54 billion, which comes from the Tobacco Product Excise Revenue Sharing Fund (DBHCHT) with the assumption that the beneficiaries will be 70,000 workers.

Based on data from the Department of Manpower, Industry, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Kudus Regency, the registered cigarette workers who received BLT came from 62 cigarette factories from 72 cigarette factories who were written to submit the names of their employees to be recorded as BLT recipients.

For the principle of fairness, in the 2022 APBD it is proposed for similar assistance to cigarette workers whose names have not been recorded in the BLT distribution period in November and December 2021.
