Winning Miss K3 DKI, Proof Of The Commitment Of PGN Solution's Female Workers To Succeed In The Implementation Of K3 In The Company

JAKARTA - Pertamina Gas Subholding Affiliate PGN Solution always implements Occupational Health and Safety (K3) aspects in all operational areas. As a construction and maintenance company for natural gas infrastructure networks, the implementation of PGN Solution K3 is part of efforts to support Pertamina's Oil and Gas Holding commitment to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

PGN Solution also supports gender equality to optimize insight and performance to deal with market dynamics. Although the majority of work is technical in nature, it does not prevent female workers from contributing to the maximum.

Erwin Simanjuntak as the President Director of PT PGAS Solution revealed that female workers also play an important role in PGN Solution, and some of them have held positions at the management level. One of them is the Head of the HSSE K3PL Division where the division is responsible for ensuring the implementation of K3 and security (HSSE) at PGN Solution.

One application of K3 is safe working hours or the amount of work time produced by workers without causing loss of work time caused by work accidents. Throughout 2020, the number of safe working hours at PGN Solution was more than 7.5 million hours. This is one proof of PGN Solution's commitment in implementing occupational safety and health as well as HSSE to run well.

"During the pandemic, PGN Solution also emphasized health protocols in every project handled," Erwin said in a written statement, Thursday, September 23.

For its reliability in implementing K3, PGN Solution won the Miss K3 DKI Jakarta event. The Miss K3 Awards show was held by the Transmigration & Energy Workers of DKI Jakarta in commemoration of the 2021 K3 Month event.

Even though this is the first time they have participated in this event, representatives of PGN Solution, namely Kemala Imas and Nur Rizki Aprilianda, won the Miss K3 DKI Jakarta 2021 title by getting the second and third place trophies.

The Inauguration of the DPD APKI DKI Jakarta Province for the 2020-2023 Period and the Delivery of the 2021 Work Safety Award will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Lumire Hotel, Central Jakarta.

Competing with dozens of other Company Representatives, the administrative selection process was very strict by making a safety induction video, and a video narration about the importance of implementing it in the workplace. In the final stage, the finalists conducted interviews with 3 different topics, namely Harassment or Violence against Women in the Workplace, P2HIV, and SMK3.

"We are very proud of the achievements and trust given to PGN Solution through the Miss K3 event, especially since this event was attended by PGN Solution for the first time. We hope that in the future PGN Solution can continue to be committed to implementing K3 in the work environment," said Erwin.

Through the Miss K3 Awards, it is hoped that it can reduce the risk of work accidents and improve the application of K3 requirements by workers by developing hazard identification skills and implementing safe work behaviors and culture.
