JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk revealed that Bali is ready to welcome tourists by implementing the PeduliLindung application. Telkom's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Pujo Pramono said, the PeduliLindung application is the right solution to encourage the economy to keep running while still prioritizing controlling the spread of COVID-19.

"It is hoped that with the increasingly massive implementation of PeduliLindung and the increase in the number of people who have been vaccinated, Bali can rise again and welcome tourist arrivals as usual," said Pujo in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 22.

However, Pujo still appealed to the public to continue to implement strict health protocols and comply with government policies, especially when traveling during the pandemic.

Until now the PeduliLindung application has been implemented in various locations in Bali. The PeduliLindung QR code has been installed in hotels, restaurants, tourist destinations, malls, places of worship, schools, office areas and other public locations. Visitors are required to do digital check-in when entering these locations, so as to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

Telkom is committed to continuing to support all government efforts in handling COVID-19 and national economic recovery.

"Hopefully with the spirit of gotong royong, together we can be stronger and able to face this pandemic well," said Pujo.

Previously, the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, reviewed the implementation of the PeduliLindung application in Denpasar, Bali. This is done as an effort to prepare Bali to face the new normal era, especially in the tourism sector and to accelerate economic recovery in Bali and its surroundings.

Chairman of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI) Bali/Bali Tourism Board, IB Agung Partha Adnyana said, PeduliLindungi is a game changer for Bali tourism besides vaccines, because it can provide a safe and comfortable image so that tourists want to visit Bali.

Not only reviewing the implementation of PeduliLindungi, Erick Thohir also took the time to interact with MSME actors in Denpasar.

Erick appreciated the enthusiasm of MSME actors who continued to run their business in the midst of a pandemic by optimizing digital technology, such as using PaDi MSMEs.
