Erick Thohir Brings Good News For 7 SOEs: Sri Mulyani Approves PMN Of IDR 35 Trillion, The Largest For Holding BUMN Insurance 'Savior' Jiwasraya

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has agreed to State Capital Participation (PMN) for the 2021 Fiscal Year for 7 SOEs worth IDR 35.135 trillion. The PMN will be allocated for the government assignment program.

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said that the 2021 PMN BUMN was not only allocated for the government assignment program, but also for restructuring.

"So the total that is now given is IDR 35.135 trillion for 2021," he said at a Working Meeting with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Wednesday, September 22.

The details of the 7 BUMN recipients of PMN include the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) or PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero) as the Insurance and Guarantee BUMN Holding in the amount of Rp. 20 trillion.

The budget received by IFG will be allocated for a restructuring program in the form of increasing business capacity in managing the insurance and loan industries to the restructuring of PT Jiwasraya (Persero).

Second, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) worth IDR 6.208 trillion. The budget is allocated for the assignment of the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road.

Third, PT Pelindo in the amount of IDR 1.2 trillion for port construction. Then, fourthly, PT Indonesia Tourism Development (Persero) or Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) of IDR 470 billion for the assignment of basic infrastructure.

Fifth, PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma (Persero) or KIW of Rp977 billion, PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) of Rp1.28 trillion and PT PLN (Persero) of Rp5 trillion.

"Then the Batang industrial area. Thank God this is a collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, a lot of investment has entered Batang," he said.

Erick emphasized that at this time what is important is how to ensure that the Indonesian battery industry is not just a market.

"But we are building in Indonesia, one of which was yesterday Hyundai inaugurated its factory in Cikarang," he said.

Sixth, PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) amounting to IDR 1.28 trillion and PT PLN (Persero) worth IDR 5 trillion for the construction of submarines. Seventh, PT PLN (Persero) amounting to Rp 5 trillion.

"Lastly, PLN is Rp. 5 trillion for the construction of the transmission of electricity distribution substations entering the village. For our people in the village who have not received electricity," he said.
