After Caplok Ranch Market, Blibli From The Hartono Brothers' Djarum Group Want To Acquire Erajaya?

JAKARTA - The Djarum Group has just acquired a 51 percent stake in the Ranch Market manager, namely PT Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (RANC) through Blibli.com (PT Global Digital Niaga). It doesn't stop there, the Djarum Group reportedly wants to take another action against another capital market issuer.

In Kontan's report, quoted on Tuesday, September 21, the Djarum Group is eyeing a distributor of electronic equipment, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA). The Djarum Group is also eyeing majority ownership in Erajaya, as the company owned by the Hartono Brothers conglomerate did to Ranch Market.

Blibli is currently negotiating the acquisition price, where the negotiated price range is in the range of Rp800-Rp 850 per share. The shareholders of ERAA are as follows, when referring to the financial statements of the first semester of 2021, the owners of these Erafone and iBox outlets:

1. PT Eralink International owns 54.69 percent

2. Sintawati Halim (Director) has 0.05 percent

3. Ardy Hady Wijaya (President Commissioner) owns 0.04 percent

4. Richard Halim Kusuma (Commissioner) owns 0.04 percent

5. Budiarto Halim (President Director) owns 0.04 percent

6. Hasan Aula (Vice President Director) owns 0.04 percent

7. Andreas Harun Djumadi (Director) has 0.04 percent

8. Sim Chee Ping (Director) has 0.04 percent

9. Each public with less than 5 percent ownership owns 45.02 percent

The source, who, according to Kontan, refused to be named, added that the plan to acquire Erajaya was an effort by the Djarum Group to create a large ecosystem for its e-commerce company. Djarum group wants Blibli to be a super app.

Blibli will later become a super app that provides all services on one platform. Blibli will provide food needs to electronic equipment, with the support of a strong offline store network, namely the Erajaya network and Ranch Market.

As is well known, Ranch Market is strong in selling premium household goods. Meanwhile, Erajaya has the advantage of holding a license for selling Apple and Xiaomi products in Indonesia.

VOI tried to confirm to Blibli about the truth of this plan to acquire Erajaya. However, until this news was published, Blibli's management had not answered the questions VOI asked.

On the other hand, Erajaya through the Head of Legal & Corporate Secretary, Amelia Allen conveyed the news of the acquisition of the Djarum Group through information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website.

"Until now, ERAA does not know any information related to the Djarum Group's plan to acquire company shares," said Amelia.

Amelia added, the information that can be conveyed is currently the company's fundamentals are getting stronger, including during the pandemic. ERAA prioritizes sustainable growth for customers in all areas of operation.

In the first semester of 2021, Erajaya posted revenue of IDR 21.35 trillion, up from the same period the previous year of IDR 14.46 trillion. Net profit also rose to Rp558.54 billion from the previous Rp113.42 billion.
