Conglomerate Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatmadja Gets Hospital Business, His Omni Hospitals Wants To Acquire Manager Of Grha Kedoya Hospital

JAKARTA - The management of Omni Hospitals, PT Sarana Mediatama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME) will acquire PT Kedoya Adyaraya Tbk (RSGK). Omni Hospitals stated that this acquisition step is in the negotiation stage.

In an information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, quoted on Thursday, September 9, the management of Sarana Meditama said it would buy the majority or about 66 percent of Kedoya's shares. This acquisition plan aims to expand SAME's business activities in Indonesia.

For information, at the end of 2020, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi (EMTK) alias Emtek acquired 4,241,000,000 shares or equivalent to 71.88 percent of the total SAME. Emtek is a company owned by conglomerate Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatamdja, one of the richest people in Indonesia.

Emtek bought SAME shares at a price of Rp137 per share at that time. So that the total funds spent by the company for the acquisition amounted to IDR 581 billion.

Meanwhile, Kedoya Adyaraya is a company that operates in the field of hospital activities. Currently, Kedoya Adyaraya manages the Grha Kedoya Hospital located in West Jakarta and the Grha MM2100 Hospital located in Bekasi.

RSGK has just held an initial public offering (IPO) by releasing 185.94 million shares at a price of IDR 1,720 per share. In this action, Kedoya Adyaraya earned fresh funds of Rp. 319.82 billion.
