Expanding Reach, Pertagas Niaga Builds CNG Main Station In Blora

JAKARTA - PT Pertagas Niaga (PTGN) is building a Mother Station (MS) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Jiken District, Blora Regency, Central Java.

This Mother Station will later compress Pertamina EP Cepu ADK gas originating from the Alas Dara Kemuning (ADK) Field with a capacity of 3.5 MMSFCD for the next 10-12 years.

PTGN President Director Linda Sunarti said, the construction of the Mother Station is targeted to be able to meet the needs of natural gas for industries in various parts of Java. PTGN has scheduled the MS CNG to operate in November 2021.

"PTGN has been a major player in the CNG trade on the island of Java. With the development of the MS in Blora, we are confident that we will be able to supply the industry's CNG needs more broadly at a more competitive price," said Linda Sunarti in her written press statement, Tuesday, September 7.

PTGN as part of the gas sub-holding affiliate PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) and Holding Oil and Gas Pertamina, said Linda, is optimistic that the distribution of CNG will be faster in terms of time and guaranteed supply certainty. On the other hand, MS development will open up new jobs and be able to absorb local workers.

In addition to CNG products, the residue from PEP C ADK gas will later be purified in liquid form and used as condensate. This product will then be used as a solvent for industrial purposes.

"Industrial demand for condensate needs is currently quite high and we are confident in meeting these needs so that we take a role in the advancement of the national industry," added Linda.

In addition, this is the use of gas energy as an environmentally friendly energy. Primarily for the industry and a priority for the Pertamina Group.

In addition, it also marks the prime use of gas produced from the PEP C ADK well which is channeled through a pipe built by PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas). Cooperation with Pertagas is a form of synergy within the Pertamina Group from upstream to downstream.
