Bank Mandiri Has Distributed Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) 2021 In The Amount Of Rp800 Billion

JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri as a partner of the government is committed to continuing to participate in the distribution of Salary/Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) to workers/laborers.

As a result, the company has distributed BSU to a total of 800 thousand workers/labor with a value of Rp800 billion, which was carried out in two distribution batches, namely on August 11, 2021 and August 21, 2021.

Meanwhile, the value of the salary/wages subsidy distributed is Rp. 1 million per worker/labor for a two-month period, namely August and September.

According to Bank Mandiri Director of Institutional Relations Rohan Hafas, currently his party is also processing the distribution of BSU batch 3 for recipients who open new accounts as many as 324,545.

"The new savings account that has been formed will then be verified by the Ministry of Manpower. After that, Bank Mandiri will distribute BSU funds to BSU recipients who pass the Ministry of Manpower verification," said Rohan in a written statement, Sunday, September 5.

Rohan continued, the company's strong commitment to the BSU program was motivated by Bank Mandiri's desire to complete the National Economic Recovery (PEN) agenda in order to maintain the momentum of the economic growth rate in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The BSU program itself was initiated by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) by involving several other institutions such as BPJS Employment (BP Jamsostek) as a data provider for beneficiaries and Bank Mandiri and other members of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) as channeling banks.

Meanwhile, Minister of Manpower Idah Fauziah during a working visit to Semarang, Central Java, Saturday, September 4, yesterday had the opportunity to visit with several recipients of the Salary/Wage Subsidy Assistance Program distributed by Himbara.

Accompanied by the Regional CEO of Bank Mandiri VII/Java 2 Dessy Wahyuni, the Minister of Manpower also met face-to-face and had a dialogue with the recipients of the BSU distributed by Bank Mandiri. Especially for the city of Semarang, the total BSU funds that have been distributed by Bank Mandiri in 2021 are 72 billion.

Since its launch in mid-2020, Bank Mandiri along with other HIMBARA Banks have distributed total salary/wage subsidies to 10.2 million workers/laborers throughout Indonesia with a total value of aid distribution of Rp 12.26 trillion.

Then in 2021, HIMBARA again participates in the distribution of salary/wage assistance which is planned to be distributed to 8.7 million workers/laborers throughout Indonesia with a total value of aid distribution of Rp. 8.7 trillion. "Since the beginning, Bank Mandiri has carried out its function as an Agent of Development and we are ready to continue to encourage the distribution of aid programs to the community, including at times like today," he added.
