PLN Brings Good News! Electricity Discounts For September To December 2021 Still Available, Here's How To Get It

JAKARTA - The government through the State Electricity Company (Persero) or PLN has extended the electrical stimulus for customers until December 2021. The stimulus provided is in the form of discounts ranging from 25 percent to 50 percent.

"Good news. The electricity stimulus has been extended until December 2021. This stimulus is given to household customers, as well as micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)," quoted from the official Instagram @pln123_official, Wednesday, September 1st.

The following is a list of customer groups who get waivers and their duration:

1. Household group 450 VA will get a 50 percent electricity discount until December 2021.

2. Subsidized 900 VA households are given a discount of 25 percent on bills until December 2021.

In addition to subsidized 450 and 900 VA customers, the government has also expanded electricity bill incentives for the social, business, and industrial segments.

1. Small businesses with 450 VA (B-1/450) power get 50 percent discount.

2. Small industries with a power of 450 VA (I-1/450) get a 50 percent discount.

3. Exemption of burden or subscription fees

As for the exemption of 50 percent of the burden that is applied to customers, including:

- Social class with 220 VA, 450 VA, and 900 VA power (S-1/220 VA to S-2/900 VA).

- Business class with 900 VA power (b-1/000 VA)

- Industrial class with power (I-1/000 VA)

Just as before, for postpaid customers, this assistance will be directly included in the bill of each customer, while for prepaid customers or those using the token system, the amount of assistance provided is the same as the previous assistance, which is given automatically when purchasing electricity tokens.

The COVID-19 stimulus electricity token can be obtained through the website, by:

1. Open the www.pln.co.id address then select the COVID-19 Stimulus menu (Free/Discounted Token).

2. Enter the Customer ID/ Meter Number.

3. Then the Free Token will be displayed on the Screen.

4. Customers just need to enter the Free Token into the meter that matches the Customer ID.

In addition to the PLN website, stimulus tokens can also be obtained through the PLN Mobile application by:

1. Open the PLN Mobile Application.

2. Click "PLN Cares for Covid-19" in the Info & Promo section.

3. Enter the Customer ID/Meter Number.

4. Free tokens will appear.

5. Customers only need to enter the Free Token into the appropriate meter with the Customer ID.
