Angkasa Pura II Has Vaccinated 102,357 Prospective Passengers At 18 Airports

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said that the vaccination of prospective airplane passengers at AP II airport reached 102,357 people spread over 18 airports managed.

"Thank you to all parties who have supported the vaccination centers at AP II airports, so as many as 102,357 prospective airplane passengers can be served to get COVID-19 vaccinations," Muhammad Awaluddin said in his statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, August 30.

Muhammad Awaluddin said, thanks to good collaboration among all stakeholders, as well as full support from the central government and local governments as well as various agencies such as the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Health and TNI/Polri so that the vaccination center at AP II airport can smoothly provide vaccination services for prospective airplane passengers as well as supporting the acceleration of the national vaccination program.

As is known, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the health protocol for prospective airplane passengers to be able to fly is to show a vaccination card (at least the first dose) and the results of the COVID-19 test as required.

In line with that, all AP II airports have opened vaccination centers so that prospective airplane passengers who have to travel urgently in the midst of this pandemic can always comply with health protocols.

Meanwhile, Soekarno-Hatta Airport was recorded to be the most vaccinated, namely to 62,309 prospective passengers. At the largest airport in Indonesia, there are two vaccination centers, namely Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, which are opened to support existing flights 24 hours a day.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport as Indonesia's main gateway and domestic flight anchor airport has a central role in the midst of this pandemic. We are very grateful to the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Port Health Office [KKP of the Ministry of Health] which strongly supports the availability of vaccines, so the airport vaccination center Soekarno-Hatta can be opened every day for prospective airplane passengers who will fly," he said.

The vaccination center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is also professionally managed and equipped with information technology so that it can serve tens of thousands of people smoothly and in an organized manner.

Through information technology, AP II has created a dashboard for real time monitoring of vaccination services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to monitor in real time the number of prospective airplane passengers who have registered, the number who have made observations, and other data to maintain services and ensure the availability of vaccines. in the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Port Health Office under the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (Jakarta) is in second place as the airport that provides the most vaccinations for 6,292 prospective passengers.

In the third largest place is Husein Sastranegara Airport (Bandung) which provides vaccinations for 5,092 prospective airplane passengers, followed by Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang) in fourth place with vaccinations for 5,062 prospective airplane passengers, then in fifth place is Kualanamu Airport ( Deli Serdang) with vaccination for 5,023 prospective passengers.

"The ease of registering for vaccinations, professional management of vaccination centers, and full support of all stakeholders are the keys for AP II airports to be able to provide vaccinations to more than 100,000 prospective airplane passengers properly," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

He added that the AP II airport vaccination center will continue to operate to support the implementation of health protocols on national flights and support the acceleration of the national vaccination program.
