Airplane Passengers At Lombok Airport Must Use PeduliLindungi Application: To Avoid Fake Vaccine Certificates

JAKARTA - Airplane passengers are required to use the PeduliLindungi application as one of the requirements for air travel at all airports in Indonesia, including at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport Lombok.

"This PeduliLindungi application must be used without exception for all air transportation service users. The results of the PCR/antigen swab test as well as a vaccination certificate as a condition for air travel will be automatically listed in this application, thus minimizing the use of fake test results and vaccination certificates", said General Manager of Lombok Nugroho Jati Airport in Mataram, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, August 25.

He explained that this was in accordance with the government's provisions through the Circular Letter of the Minister of Health Number HK.02.01/MENKES/847/2021 concerning the Digitization of Health Documents for Air Transport Users who were Integrated with the PeduliLindungi application.

In addition, using the PeduliLindungi application will provide convenience and security for people who want to travel because the process is done digitally.

"There is no need to show physical documents or hard copies that can cause queues and crowds", he said.

This official government-owned application will also facilitate the "tracing and tracking" process if there are positive cases of COVID-19 among air travellers, so that the handling carried out can be more targeted.

"We as the airport manager remind the public to download the PeduliLindungi application on their respective cellphones before traveling by air", said Jati.

Prior to air travel, prospective passengers can perform a COVID-19 test (RT-PCR or rapid antigen test) at health services or laboratories affiliated with the Ministry of Health's New All Record (NAR) system.

After carrying out a COVID-19 test, prospective passengers must ensure that the health service or laboratory where they perform the test uploads their test results to the PeduliLindung application. Prospective passengers can confirm it by checking it on the "digital passport" menu in the PeduliLindungi application or through the website https://cekmandiri.pedulilindungi.id.

Then, prospective passengers can fill in the electronic Health Alert Card (e-HAC) data which is also integrated in the PeduliLindung application. For people who have already vaccinated against COVID-19, vaccine certificate data as one of the flight requirements can also be opened in the PeduliLindungi application.

"We remind prospective passengers to carry out a COVID-19 test at one of the laboratories that has been integrated with NAR in order to pass the validation of the flight requirements document when it is checked by the Port Health Office (KKP) officers at the airport", he said.

"After the flight requirements document is uploaded completely and correctly, the prospective airplane passenger simply shows the barcode available in the application to the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (KKP) officer at the departure gate at the airport", continued Jati.

According to Jati, his party is working with all stakeholders at the airport to ensure the smooth implementation of this policy.

"The implementation of health protocol procedures in the field always runs strictly to prevent and suppress the rate of transmission of COVID-19 through air transportation", he said.

The general guideline for using the PeduliLindungi application for aircraft passengers is that prospective passengers must download the PeduliLindungi application on their mobile phone via Google Play or the App Store. Select the list menu and fill in your full name, mobile number, and email.

Turn on location, media access, and files and camera. To view vaccine certificates and COVID-19 test results, please select the "digital passport" menu. To fill out e-HAC Indonesia, select the "Electronic Health Alert Card" menu.
