Indofood CBP, The Indomie Producer Raises Revenue Of IDR 28.2 Trillion And Profit Of IDR 3.22 Trillion In Semester I 2021

JAKARTA - PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) posted a brilliant performance in the first six months of this year. This Indomie producer achieved double-digit revenue growth in the first semester of 2021.

In ICBP's financial report published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, quoted on Wednesday, August 25, this company owned by conglomerate Anthony Salim posted revenue of IDR 28.2 trillion as of June 2021. That number increased 22.35 percent year on year (yoy) from previously IDR 23.05 trillion.

ICBP's cost of goods sold also increased to IDR 17.76 trillion from the previous IDR 14.72 trillion. However, gross profit still increased to IDR 10.43 trillion in the first semester of 2021 compared to IDR 8.33 trillion in the first semester of 2020.

The profit for the period attributable to owners of ICBP's parent entity reached IDR 3.22 trillion as of June 2021. This net profit slightly decreased 4.64 percent yoy from IDR 3.38 trillion as of June 2020.

Earnings per share also fell to IDR 276 from the previous IDR 290. ICBP seems to be putting the brakes on investment, because the net cash used for investment is IDR 1.85 trillion as of June 2021, down from the same period the previous year of IDR 3.64 trillion.

The total cash equivalents reached IDR 10.67 trillion, up from IDR 8.93 trillion in the first semester of 2020. ICBP's liabilities as of June 2021 rose to IDR 54.32 trillion from IDR 53.27 trillion at the end of 2020.

In the first semester of 2021, long-term liabilities are IDR 35.36 trillion and short-term liabilities are IDR 18.96 trillion. ICBP's equity increased to IDR 53.6 trillion as of June 2021 from IDR 50.32 trillion at the end of last year.

Indofood CBP's total assets also reached IDR 107.93 trillion at the end of the first semester of 2021, up from IDR 103.58 trillion at the end of 2020.
