Profile Of PT HK Metals Utama, Where Actor Ricky Harun Becomes Commissioner

JAKARTA - Actor Ricky Chilnady Pratama alias Ricky Harun is known to have just served as Commissioner of PT HK Metals Utama Tbk. This was first published by the company on Friday, August 13.

He is said to have replaced Ngasidjo Achmad, Commissioner of HK Metals Utama, who submitted an official resignation on July 22, 2021.

Just so you know, Ngasidjo Achmad is one of the company's shareholders with a composition of 3.33 percent. On February 26, 2021, it was stated that Ngasidjo had sold all of his 107,410,100 shares at a price of Rp. 100 per share. It is said that he received fresh funds of not less than Rp. 10.74 billion for his actions.

Meanwhile, HK Metals Utama is a company engaged in manufacturing and trading of building materials (aluminum extrusions, light steel, sanitary, pvc pipe, and stainless steel).

Founded in 1995, the business entity with the code name HKMU was built from a trading business based on extruded aluminum and successfully developed the business into a company that produces building materials.

Having great potential, HKMU has developed into a company consisting of several subsidiaries engaged in the manufacturing of building materials and engineering equipment based on aluminum extrusion, both in the manufacturing and trading segments.

The subsidiaries are PT Dantool Karya Teknik Utama, PT Hakaru Metalindo Perkasa, PT Handal Aluminum Sukses, PT Karya Bumimas Persada, PT Metalutama Perkasa Jaya, and PT Rasa Langgeng Wira.

Over the years, HKMU has built a strong distribution network throughout Indonesia, and has penetrated export markets in the US, Netherlands and Australia since 2018.

"Demand for aluminum is expected to continue due to economic growth in the Asian region, driven by improved technology in the transportation sector," said HKMU's management in an information disclosure.

In terms of share ownership, HK Metals Utama is now controlled by PT Hyamn Sukses Abadi which holds 46.87 percent of the company's shares. While the rest are public shares of less than 5 percent with a total of 53.13 percent of shares.

The company also reports that the production facility for light steel is located in Bekasi, West Java with a capacity of 1,700 tons per month. Meanwhile, aluminum extrusion manufacturing is located in Cirebon, West Java with a production capacity of 1,000 tons per month.

In its plan, HKMU will expand its production capacity in 2023.

Several infrastructure facilities that utilize products from Ricky Harun's company include Manado Extension Airport, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Passenger Terminal Exiting, Manggarai Station, and The Nine Residence BSD.
