Who Is Pandu Sjahrir, Luhut Pandjaitan's Nephew Who Is The Administrator Of The Kadin Leadership Of Arsjad Rasjid

JAKARTA - The organizational structure of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for the 2021-2026 period led by Arsjad Rasjid is colored by a combination of diverse management, namely between senior entrepreneurs and those who are relatively young.

One name that has attracted attention is the inclusion of Pandu Patria Sjahrir in the membership structure as Head of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Digital Finance Development Agency.

Investigate, Pandu is Deputy President Director of PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk, a business entity engaged in the main thermal coal exploration in Indonesia.

It is said that the company has a production concession area of 7,087 hectares located in Sangasanga, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan with coal reserves of 147 million tons and coal resources of 236 million tons.

Pandu is also known to be the nephew of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. He is also the son of one of the national economists, Sjahrir.

Born in Boston, United States (US) on May 17, 1979, Pandu earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago. He had also completed a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA.

Prior to joining Toba Bara, this fat man had a career as a senior analyst specializing in the energy and mining sector at Matlin and Patterson from 2007 to 2010.

Then, he continued his career as a principal at Byun & Co, Alternative Energy Fund Asia from 2002 to 2005. Then, as an analyst at Lehman Brothers from 2001 to 2002.

On October 1, 2010, Pandu was appointed as Director of Toba Bara based on Deed No. 1 dated October 1, 2010 made before Notary Jimmy Tanal.

Thanks to his well-regarded professional activities, in 2014, Pandu was awarded the Asian Society Young Leaders Awards, an award for young leaders under the age of 40 by the Asia Society.

His great contribution to energy development in the country led to Pandu being elected as General Chair of the Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI) in 2015 for a leadership period until 2018. He was then re-elected in the same position for the 2018-2021 leadership period.

Until now, Pandu still holds the position of Deputy President Director of PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk. for the second period based on a notarial deed signed by Aryanti Artisari.
