Siloam Hospitals Owned By Conglomerate Mochtar Riady Intensifies Vaccination

JAKARTA - In order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village (SHLV), PT Lippo Malls Indonesia (LMI), and the Tangerang District Health Office (Dinkes) have collaborated to organize a vaccination program for the people of Tangerang at MaxxBox Lippo Village, Tangerang.

"Through the vaccination program which was held at MaxxBox Lippo Village, we are trying our best so that the vaccination target that has been proclaimed by the government can be achieved immediately," said the Director of SHLV, dr. Jeffry Oeswadi MARS in his written statement, quoted on Sunday, August 8.

Since March 19, 2021, SHLV, LMI (which oversees MaxxBox Lippo Village), and the Tangerang District Health Office, have held a COVID-19 vaccination program at MaxxBox Lippo Village with a minimum target of 700 participants per day.

In each of these COVID-19 vaccination activities, the hospital owned by the conglomerate Mochtar Riady involved around 20 health workers. As of August 5, 2021, 7,500 people have been vaccinated at MaxxBox Lippo Village, with 7,000 of them having received the second dose.

SHLV, which is strategically located in the Lippo Village township, is one of the hospitals owned by PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk, (SILO) the health business line of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR). Meanwhile, LMI is a business unit of LPKR which is known as the largest mall operator and manager in Indonesia.

"We really support a cooperation scheme like this, namely collaboration between the government and the private sector to encourage the achievement of the vaccination target for all groups of people, especially in Tangerang and Banten," said Chairman of the Banten DPRD Andra Soni.

"Hopefully this kind of cooperation can be an example and we hope this program can run smoothly," he added.
