Optimistic In The Midst Of The COVID-19 Pandemic, ASDP Reaches Revenue Of Rp. 1.69 Trillion And Profit Of 147 Billion In Semester I 2021

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) remains optimistic in maintaining the company's business pace in the midst of the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The implementation of restrictions on the mobility of passengers and vehicles for almost 1.5 years of the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on ASDP, namely the erosion of crossing production figures and the company's income.

President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Ira Puspadewi said, since the COVID-19 pandemic hit Indonesia in early 2020 until now, it has had a significant impact on ASDP's performance by decreasing the production of passengers and passenger vehicles.

"The movement of passengers and passenger vehicles has decreased quite drastically. It can be said that most of the people comply with the government's restrictions on movement to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, starting from PSBB in 2020, Micro PPKM to Emergency PPKM this year," said Ira in his presentation to journalists virtually, Thursday 22 July.

He said only logistics sector services were relatively stable during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is because freight transport services have remained fully operational from the start, in order to maintain the supply of goods in the region.

Based on data on crossing production in the first semester of 2021, ASDP noted that it had served 1.83 million passengers, which was 66 percent of the 2021 RKAP target of 2.75 million, or a decrease of 9 percent from the realization of the same period in 2020 of 2 million passengers.

Followed by two and three-wheeled vehicles as many as 1 million units which reached 80 percent of the 2021 RKAP target of 1.27 million or a decrease of 9 percent when compared to the realization of the same period in 2020 of 1.26 million units.

Then, four-wheeled vehicles as many as 1.18 million, which 99 percent of the 2021 RKAP target of 1.19 million units and an increase of 23 percent when compared to the realization of the same period in 2020 as many as 960 thousand units.

As for goods, ASDP managed to transport up to 465,000 tons, which was 82 percent of the RKAP 2021 target of 565 thousand tons of goods and an increase of 18 percent from the realization of the same period in 2020 of 395 thousand tons.

"In the first semester of 2021, ASDP managed to record consolidated revenues of Rp. 1.69 trillion. This revenue value reached 91 percent of the 2021 RKAP target of Rp. 1.86 trillion and increased by 18.4 percent from the realization in the first semester of 2020 of Rp. 1.43 trillion," said Ira.

Furthermore, ASDP managed to record a profit of Rp. 147 billion or reached 456.8 percent of the 2021 RKAP target of Rp. 32 billion and reached 282.5 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year which was minus Rp. 80.5 billion.
