Good News From Gudang Garam, Tobacco Company Owned By Conglomerate Susilo Wonowidjojo Divides Rp5 Trillion

JAKARTA - The cigarette company, PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) gave appreciation to its shareholders. The cigarette issuer from Kediri City, East Java, officially distributed an annual dividend of Rp5 trillion for the 2020 financial year.

Just so you know, in 2020, the company owned by conglomerate Susilo Wonowidjojo decided not to distribute dividends on 2019 net profit.

Based on his official statement, quoted on Friday, July 9, after the GGRM Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which was held last Thursday at the Grand Surya Hotel, Kediri, the meeting approved the distribution of dividends of Rp5,002,628,800,000 or Rp5 trillion. That is equivalent to Rp2,600 per share.

Meanwhile, the undistributed profit will be included in the retained earnings account which will be used to increase the company's working capital.

For information, in 2020 Gudang Garam recorded a decrease in net profit of 29.71 percent to Rp7.65 trillion, where the previous year's gain was Rp10.88 trillion.

Despite the decline in net profit, the company's revenue edged up by 3.58 percent from Rp110.52 trillion in 2019, to Rp114.48 trillion last year.

At Thursday's AGMS, Gudang Garam also approved the resignation of Susanto Widiatmo as Director of the Company.
