JAKARTA - The rehabilitation of the irrigation network in the Cihanjawar Cikupa Irrigation Area (DI), Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency, West Java, has a direct impact on agricultural productivity.

Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said that strengthening irrigation infrastructure is one of the keys to maintaining the sustainability of national food production.

Dody also emphasized the importance of developing a tertiary irrigation network so that water can be distributed more effectively to agricultural land.
"I ask that in addition to drilling deep water, especially for water intended for irrigation of rice fields and gardens, a tertiary irrigation network must also be created," he said.
To accelerate the implementation of the Irrigation Presidential Decree, the PU Ministry is collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) in data collection and simultaneous construction of irrigation networks.
